In order to have an organized list for people to search a certain category (under the heading "labels" in the side column), you'll need to put the category your recipe belongs to in the "label" box at the bottom of your post. For example, if you have a coffee cake recipe, you might put it in the category "breakfasts" and "cakes"; So, in the label box at the bottom of your post that you're typing up, put the words: breakfasts, cakes
This will file your recipe under each label, making it easily searchable by others.
