Pear Raspberry Jell-o Jam

This stuff is "to-die-for". Simple, but somewhat time consuming (probably around 1.5 hr)

5 cups pears (around 10-12 large), peeled, cored, ground in blender (will look like applesauce).
1 bag (12 oz) frozen raspberries
5 cups sugar
9 oz worth of raspberry Jell-o powder (3 small packages)

***In large pot, bring pears, raspberries & sugar to a boil. Boil for 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Add Jell-o powder & boil an additional 5 minutes. Fill clean, hot jars, leaving 1/2 inch head space. Place self sealing lids on jars. Let stand on counter 24 hours (not touching). Makes 4-5 pints (my picture is half-pint jars, so one batch made 9 of them).
***To prepare your glass jars for this jam, simply bring 1-2 inches of water to a boil in a frying pan, then add your jars (upside down) & lids, & simmer (don't BOIL) for 5 minutes (your jars need to be hot to match the hot jam you'll pour into it, or your jars could crack).
