If you are wondering what to do with the wheat berries you have in storage, or don't have a grinder, here is a recipe that requires no special tools to use those berries!
4 Cups cooked & chilled wheat berries (I make 12 C at a time in the crock pot--4 Cups dry berries 7 cups water, for three hours)
2 apples, diced
1 cup almonds (or whatever nut you like--optional)
4 Tbsp. honey
4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp. water (I sometimes use vanilla)
Mix together. Serve warm or cold. You can use other fruits as well.
Also good mixed in with fresh, plain yogurt. (or on icecream...shhh, don't tell).
Another friend uses it to top green salads. It's good.
